Hi all!!!!
Courts open in 8 days! BAHHHH!!!! We are so excited and cannot WAIT to see our little guy's face and kiss his cheeks. As we near the end of this process, we are realizing we are about 8k short of being able to bring Phin home. At first I thought we were square and had met our need down to the PENNY! I had it all worked out on an excel spreadsheet and was dancing around the room when James said, "Um Kelly? You know what you forgot on this sheet?"
Uh oh. What?
"There's a second trip now".
Dang it.
So, basically, we are short what it will cost for us to go a second time, a policy that was changed midway thru our adoption process. Needless to say, I was a little deflated.
I have been wracking my brain for fundraisers, which, let's just say it, ain't my gift chief. The only thing I can come up with is tshirts (since I wear them all the time and am obviously a fan). I've tried to organize our own tshirt fundraiser with our own design for months, but it's just not happening. Recently, SHOW HOPE (Steven Curtis Chapman's organization- the same one that gave us a 3k grant!), sent out an email with tshirt fundraiser info. If we sell their shirt for around $25 a piece, we can clear a $15 profit per shirt (not including shipping them to people). I am able to pre-order, which is a big bonus (that way i don't get stuck with a bunch of shirts and waste money). But I thought I would try and get an idea of how many people might be interested before I jump in with both feet. So . . . . any takers????
Here's the link to their website if you want to take a look at the shirt. We would most likely sell the black ones since they are the cheapest and we would make the most money off of them. Let me know what you think!

Blessings to you and yours!

Hi Kelly. Glad to see things are going great so far. I saw you are thinking of selling shirts to raise money. I just wanted to let you know that if you are going to sell them either you or James get a hold of me and i'll buy one to help out. I'll see if I can talk to anyone else that I can think of and see if they want to help out too! Good Luck and God Bless.

Bradley you precious boy. THANK YOU! I will add you to the list of people to contact for sizing info when official ordering time comes. And thanks for passing the word along!
It was so very good to see you the other day. I was just telling James that you have always been such a good kid. (Well, not a kid anymore I suppose). :) Blessings upon blessings on you . . .
Count me in for a t-shirt. I'm so excited for you!!
